FFCC: Ring of Fates - New Screens

Finally something new of Ring of Fates. It'll be shown at Jump Festa in Japan on December 16th and 17th, so we should expect a lot of new info then. Also, being shown at Jump Festa means it should be coming out in Japan a couple months down the road, and in North America not too long after.

Looks good. I hope they improved on the problems from FF:CC for GC. Was still a fun game with friends though.

Sweet. I hope it's a lot better than Children of Mana. Well, I haven't even played Children of Mana yet but the mediocre reviews have swayed me away from purchasing it.

Dam I just cant put my DS down for all the great AAA titles dropping. The sheer amount of great games I have in my DS backlog alone makes me sad I dont have more time/happy I own a DS.

I will be getting Children of Mana for Christmas. I'll let you know how it is.

Anyway, the images of this game look great, but I'm not really excited about it. The reason is that I really didn't like FFCC at all on GC (waited until $10 to buy it, although I rented it around release) because it completely lacked a story to get me playing, didn't like the combat at all, and wasn't too happy with being forced to stay within in area (or my lives dropped). The game just felt lifeless. I liked the art direction a lot though. I'm still willing to give this a shot, but I'll wait until I hear more about it.

Game Designers studio still needs to prove themselves (some of its staff came from Squaresoft's weakest PS1 games, like Legend of Mana).

Yeah no word yet on a Wifi mode, but considering this was announced back before the DS even launched, and the nature of the gameplay, online is a strong possibility.
