New Mario Kart, Advance Wars, and Castlevania Videos

Mario Kart DS
http://www.gamespot.com/ds/driving/m...tds/media.html

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows
http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/ca...nia/media.html

Advance Wars: Dual Strike
http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/...sds/media.html

I've only gotten a chance to watch the Mario Kart videos so far, but I must say Mario Kart is looking absolutely GREAT. Not just when I consider the fun factor, but graphically.. I was surprised.

EDIT: It is harder to judge the Castlevania and Advance Wars videos, especially since they make a bit more use of the second screen than Mario Kart does and the videos don't show that, but watching the games being played turned me off a little. Whoever was playing Castlevania was bothering me to no end. That said, I'm still interested in both of those games, but its not even close to my excitement for Mario Kart DS right now.

Wow, Mario Kart is looking excellent. Graphically, I'd say it's nearer to Double Dash than MK64.

wow, that looks awesome. and you're right, graphically it compares well with Double Dash, without the corny gimmick of two people in a kart.

Best Mario Kart game yet? It sure is looking that way.

MK looks great, but too bad it can't be for the cube... Handhelds just aren't my thing. (could be my lack of money recently )

Mario Kart looks a hell of a lot better than the N64 version, and outside of a few outstanding titles I think it looks better than most N64 and PSX games, (Im amazed at how rounded everything is, and that it will support online to boot).

And, my hope for Advance Wars not being a rehash is quickly going down the drain. Why are they reusing the same sprites? Are they going to be packing in that same damn map again? The only differences I could even see from the two new videos are the cursor is a little different and every thing is a bit more isometric.

Well, a couple weirdos think it looks graphically closer to Double Dash, but I'd have to disagree, other than the polygonal models.
Gameplay-wise it looks like it may very well be the best yet. Must-own, and that's coming off utter disappointment in the MK : DD.

We used to say, "let's play Atari," "Nintendo," or "Sega."
We don't play Microsoft and Sony. The Apocalypse!

Mario Kart and Castlevania look amazing.

Advance Wars... rehash city. They need to update this formula because it's starting to get old.
